Hi, I’m Arthur Habicht, co-founder and CTO of Helpany and an engineer working on Physical AI and production-grade machine learning systems.
I build machine learning systems that need to work outside the demo. At Helpany, that means turning raw sensor data into insights that senior living communities rely on every day. What I enjoy most is the moment a piece of technology stops being a prototype and becomes a product people trust.
My work spans the full stack of getting there: machine learning algorithms, real-time sensor and batched data pipelines, software development, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, hardware product development and certification, information security, as well as engineering management and product and business strategy. Our radar device, Paul, was named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026.
Before Helpany I worked as a machine learning and software engineer at ti&m in Zurich, where I built the internal AI/ML team and delivered proof-of-concepts in document classification and question answering for clients in the financial industry. I also teach unsupervised learning and software architecture for data science as a visiting lecturer at the University of Lucerne. Since October 2025, I have been an advisor for AI, machine learning and entrepreneurship at Dreamleap, a Swiss company building agentic AI for businesses.
I hold a B.Sc and M.Sc in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, with a focus on distributed systems and machine learning. I wrote my master thesis in Prof. Andreas Krause’s Learning & Adaptive Systems group at ETH, on deep reinforcement learning with real-world data for the control of PV power plants. Before ETH, I earned a B.A. HSG in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, including an exchange year at the University of Hong Kong.
I’m always glad to hear from people working on hard problems where machine learning meets the real world, whether it’s an exchange of ideas, a collaboration or an opportunity to build something ambitious together. Write me an email or connect on LinkedIn; my code lives on GitHub. I don’t take sales or outsourcing pitches.
